An on-duty PSI attempted suicide by shooting himself

An on-duty woman constable shot herself and attempted suicide near the main gate of NMPA in Mangalore.

Jyoti Bhai Singh Parmar (33), who was working as a woman constable in the Central Industrial Security Force, attempted suicide by shooting herself while on duty at the gate of New Mangalore Port Authority.

CISF PSI Jyoti Bai, who is on duty at NMPA, shot himself and attempted suicide at 6 am today. Her husband Ombir Singh is Assistant Commandant in MRPL. He is from Bharatpur district of Rajasthan.

The reason for the incident is said to be a family dispute. The injured have been admitted to a private hospital in Mangalore and are being treated.
